This project was a concept design at UCLA AUD SUPRASTUDIO in 2015. Hyperloop is a new transportation system that should act as a medium connecting other transportation systems and activating urban development opportunities. The Sprial machine counts time accurately and provides a nonstop experience to all passengers.
An important design component of the Hyperloop station involves the capsule that will carry passengers from one station to another. Step one included choosing how a passenger would enter the capsule. Ryan's studio group selected a cartridge option. The group engineered a new spiral mechanism that would dispatch capsules and cartridges in and out fluidly. The second step included creating a modular platform to provide easy access for passengers to be dropped off and picked up.
